A county official asked commissioners to move forward with posting a property/facilities project manager job description during the July 9 BOCC work session, and commissioners directed Human Resources to advertise the position.
A committee member explained the role is not expected to create a new headcount. "Just for, you know, budget knowledge sake, that that is not going to be a new position," the committee member said, adding that existing staff will likely take on the defined responsibilities. Another commissioner said formalizing the role is important because the county is already performing related functions and needs a written job definition.
The board agreed to proceed with HR posting the job description so the county can define duties and responsibilities more clearly. No vote or funding decision was required during the session; commissioners noted administrative delays had slowed several staffing items and asked HR to move forward with this one.
