Pueblo County approves IGA to collect and reimburse fees for rural fire district
Summary

Pueblo County approved a resolution authorizing an intergovernmental agreement that allows the county to accept fee payments on behalf of a rural fire district and reimburse the district for those fees.
A presenter described the IGA as a streamlining measure: "We are working with public rural fire to be able to accept fees on their behalf and in turn reimburse them for the fees that we accept on their behalf. This IGA is just, commemorating that, that ability to do that and, streamlining our processes for the community." The presenter also said the county currently accepts fees on behalf of the clerk and recorder's office and reimburses that office for recording-document fees.
When asked whether the county has similar agreements with other fire districts, the presenter said the county is working with Pueblo West to put the same IGA in place and that the Pueblo West agreement is awaiting attorney review. The chair then called for a motion to approve item 3A; the motion was made and approved by voice vote.
