Julia Welly Ayres, from Housing Stability, explained the funds are one‑time legislative funding tied to the IHAPP biennium and will be used to prevent evictions for approximately 2,000 households; the nine positions will support implementation through Sept. 2027. Committee members asked staff to monitor the cost of service delivery versus receivables, noting that serving more households can increase the gap if costs exceed funding. The motion to approve the block including this amendment passed by voice vote.
