Commissioners amend road-rock bid to add Cornerstone Crushing after bid-tab review

Commissioner Jason Shanks told the board that, after visiting Cornerstone Crushing and reviewing markings on a submitted bid, there had been confusion between bids for 1½-inch ag base and 1½-inch crusher run. Because no bids were received for the ag base line item, the board discussed geographic availability and mileage when awarding multiple vendors for the crusher run.
The BOCC voted to amend Bid#2026-5 and add Cornerstone Crushing, LLC at $9.50 to the 1½-inch crusher run line item. District Attorney Brian Hermanson cautioned the board about awarding bids to all vendors who submitted bids, but the amendment passed with Kreger, Jones and Shanks voting aye.
