Portsmouth’s Main Street update included operational moves meant to support entrepreneurs: the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) now has a full‑time employee and office space located at Bloom coworking, and presenters described an 8,000‑square‑foot expansion at the Montgomery Square building that will add roughly 42 closed office spaces and meeting rooms.
Liz Pasqualini described Amber Koska as the new SBDC employee and said the Bloom expansion is designed to meet demand for enclosed office suites and to foster entrepreneur networking. The presentation tied these facility investments to a broader strategy of using events, ambassadors and targeted predevelopment funding to grow foot traffic and private investment in Old Town. The council asked for clearer public communication so residents can identify which changes are tied to the Main Street program.
