The Carlton County Board unanimously approved an agreement with Cloquet Riverside Recycling for food-waste collection and transportation to the Western Lake Superior Sanitary District (WLSSD) for a one-year term beginning March 1, 2026 and ending Feb. 28, 2027, the first of up to three optional renewal periods. Commissioner Reed moved the approval; Commissioner Plante Buhs seconded, and the motion passed with all yea votes.
The agreement is on file with the county's Zoning and Environmental Services Office. The minutes do not specify contract dollar amounts or service frequency; the action records term dates and renewal structure.
