Woodward County reviews range of state and federal grant programs; application to OCCEDB received

At the Woodward County Board of Commissioners meeting on June 15, Ton Lucas presented a list of state and federal grant programs the county could pursue, citing programs such as Community Arts, Community Revitalization Program, Emergency Transportation Revolving Fund, Industrial Access Program, Rural Arts Opportunity, Used Tire Recycling Program and the Unpaved Roads Program. Lucas also listed federal opportunities including Telecommunications Infrastructure, Technical Assistance for Rural Hospitals, Community Facilities Grants, the Electric Infrastructure Program and Waste & Wastewater Disposal programs.
Lucas told the board that the county’s application to OCCEDB has been received and that the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) will provide on-site assistance to local communities. He also reported that Ellis County withdrew from the three-county Ft. Supply Preservation Authority, a regional partnership noted in the presentation. The board took the presentation as information; no specific grant award motions were recorded.
