Sheriff leads Logan County commissioners on detention center inspection; repairs noted

The Board recessed at 9:10 A.M. and reconvened at the Logan County Jail at 9:18 A.M. for the annual inspection. Sheriff Devereaux led the walkthrough before the board returned to the administration building and reconvened at 9:54 A.M.
During post-walkthrough comments, Commissioner Floyd Coffman said the concrete front steps of the jail need repair. Commissioner Monty Piearcy said he "has someone to give a quote." Commissioner Mark Sharpton said the jail "is showing age but still looks good." No formal maintenance motion or contract was recorded in the minutes.
