In new business, Kevin Garrett reported the county jail air conditioning went out over the Fourth of July weekend and asked who should be contacted; commissioners suggested lining up a contractor in advance and using fans temporarily until repairs could be arranged.
Commissioners discussed District #1 and District #3 Ambulance Board appointments whose one-year terms are up and said they would reappoint current members if they are willing to continue serving. Separately, District #2 reported a bridge failure following recent weather; staff provided a repair estimate of $150,000 with beams to be supplied by the county. Commissioners directed staff to present a Resolution at the next meeting to approve funds for the repair.
The board adjourned at 11:26 a.m. after taking no immediate action on the bridge other than to prepare a resolution for a future meeting.
