The Board approved updated 2026 Board Operating Procedures, County Operating Policies and a Finance Policy at its Jan. 6 meeting. On unanimous votes the board also approved the 2026 Board Meeting calendar.
Human Resources Director Theresa Kubes presented telecommute agreements for multiple Human Services agency social workers (Missy Dee, Teri Hopkins, Jeff Mack, Maggie Nicolin, Kari Peters, Shari Solheim and Jessica Wesley), each approved for three off-site days per week. The board set minimum salaries for elected officials under cited Minnesota statutes (County Attorney $107,123; County Recorder $80,342; County Sheriff $107,123) and established mileage reimbursement to follow the Federal IRS mileage standard with a convenience reimbursement at 50% of that standard plus two cents per mile additional for water patrol officers while pulling a water patrol boat.
