The Nobles County Board voted to close its Aug. 6 meeting at 10:23 a.m. under Minnesota Statutes 13D.03 Subd. 1(b) to discuss technology security. The action was described as a follow-up to issues raised at the July 31 board retreat. The board reconvened at 10:41 a.m. and no formal action was taken during the closed session; the recording from the closed session was sealed in accordance with the statute.
The motion to close and to reopen the meeting was moved and seconded and recorded as duly passed. The minutes state the closed session will adhere to Minnesota Statute 13D provisions and that the recording will be safely stored and sealed.
