Nobles County proclaims Armory excess property, approves $1 sale

Nobles County commissioners proclaimed the Armory Business Center surplus and approved its sale for $1 to the Nobles County Historical Society on Aug. 6, 2024. The action follows a 2019 Agreement for Development and Lease-Purchase in which the county entered a lease-to-own arrangement with the historical society; that arrangement ended July 31, 2024 and sale documents were reported as in-process.
The motion to declare the Armory excess property and approve the sale was moved by Commissioner Justin Ahlers and seconded by Commissioner Chris Dybevick and recorded as duly passed. The minutes note that sale documents are in-process and that the sale price approved was $1.
