Board reappoints members to advisory committees; Extension Committee recommendation passes 3–2 pending staff confirmation

The Winona County Board approved a series of reappointments and appointments to advisory bodies during its Jan. 13 meeting. Reappointments included Edward Walsh and Lynn Redig to the Board of Adjustments; several members were reappointed or appointed to Health and Human Services, Parks and Environment, Planning Commission, and SELCO Board roles. A contested action concerned the Extension Committee. Commissioner Voegeli moved (and Commissioner Olson seconded) to re-appoint Casey Mueller (Moger) and appoint Sadie Neuman, and to recommend adding Nicole Schlau to the Extension Committee after staff confirms there are no limiting factors. That motion passed 3–2 (Yes – Voegeli, Olson, Meyer; No – Ward, Elsing). The minutes record Commissioner Ward proposing the amendment to wait for staff confirmation prior to final placement.
