The Watonwan Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors voted on Jan. 13 to keep all board positions and committee assignments the same for 2026. The motion, made by Matt Wolle and seconded by Bret Braaten, passed with four affirmative votes from Bergeman, Braaten, Enger and Wolle and no opposition.
Chairman Rich Enger clarified his procedural approach during the meeting, saying that "as chairman, he will make and second motions," a practice the board accepted. The decision preserves current leadership continuity as the district prepares to host MASWCD Area VI events in June and continue participation in regional efforts such as the Greater Blue Earth River Basin Alliance (GBERBA).
