Cliff Moffett, president of the Zephyrhills Military Museum, told the City Council the museum is privately funding a pergola on city property at the airport and asked that the city waive permit fees for that installation. “We’re in the process of putting up a pergola out at the museum and we’re funding it ourselves… we’re just looking now to waive the permit fees,” Moffett said.

The chair asked whether a formal motion was needed; members responded that no separate motion was required for council consent during the public‑comment exchange and thanked the museum for the community benefit. Staff and council also discussed placement near picnic tables behind the planes and confirmed the structure will be on city property and available for public use.
