Carver County board approves proclamations honoring dispatchers, nurses and peace officers

The Carver County Board voted to adopt five proclamations presented by the sheriff's office recognizing National Public Safety Telecommunications Week (dispatchers), Administrative Professionals Day, National Nurses Day (corrections nurses), National Corrections Officers Week and Peace Officers Memorial Day/Police Week.
Chief Deputy Bari spoke in support of the proclamations and praised dispatchers and corrections staff for 24/7 service. "These men and women are dedicated professionals that are available and answer the phone calls 24/7, 365 days a year," Bari said, urging the board to approve the recognitions. The proclamation for Police Week also noted the fallen deputies the county will honor.
Commissioners thanked sheriff's staff and noted plans to recognize deputy of the year at a future meeting. The board moved and approved the set of proclamations by voice vote.
