At its June 8 meeting the Pontotoc County Board of Commissioners approved consent agenda items that included a large set of appropriations and listed purchase orders; the minutes record a subtotal of $1,310,206.63 in appropriations and line‑item totals across many funds.
The consent package covered General, Highway, Health, Lodging Tax, Use Tax, and several special funds; individual entries included public transportation, sheriff operations, and health department payroll and supplies. Commissioners recorded the motions as carried unanimously. The board also approved contract renewals and blanket purchase orders needed for the upcoming fiscal year.
County staff reminded departments that the travel policy remains dependent on the P-Card policy being finalized and that agenda items must be submitted by Thursday noon for the following Monday meeting. The fiscal approvals advance necessary cash flow for highway projects, public safety services and Agri-Plex operations going into the new fiscal year.
