Pontotoc County commissioners approve month of routine business, dozens of resolutions and bids

The Pontotoc County Board of Commissioners met across five sessions in June 2026 and moved a slate of routine and substantive business, approving consent agendas, grant applications, interlocal agreements and multiple bid awards.
At the June 1 meeting the board approved the consent agenda and recorded the items listed with a Grand Total of $207,002.02. Resolutions approved included #26-107 (authorizing a 2027 REAP grant application for Districts 1–3), #26-108 (a 2026 Funding Assistance Grant application for sheriff stipends), and #26-109 (a contract with the Southern Oklahoma Sports Association governing use of the Harry Brecheen Ball Park Complex). Motions were generally carried unanimously; minutes record motions as “All aye.”
Over subsequent meetings the board approved additional interlocal agreements with municipalities and schools, renewed contracts (including Cintas for AED devices) and awarded multiple highway and six‑month road maintenance bids. On June 29 the board approved Bid #26-15, awarding the purchase of a utility task vehicle (UTV) for the Pickett Volunteer Fire Department.
Several items were discussed but not adopted at the meetings, including a contract to transition courthouse elevator landlines to AT&T Business Voice and options from TK Elevator. Assistant District Attorney Krystina Phillips said she would review the AT&T paperwork before it returns to the agenda.
The board certified the June minutes and approved blanket purchase orders and fiscal carry-overs as part of routine month‑end business. The meetings concluded with procedural motions and adjournments; most roll-call votes were recorded as unanimous.
