The Eaton County Zoning Board of Appeals opened its June 3 meeting by conducting nominations and electing officers for the coming term. A committee member nominated Nikki Umowski for chair and the board closed the ballot and cast a unanimous ballot, appointing Umowski chair by voice vote.
The board then nominated and approved Donald Chase as vice chair and Jeremy Clary as secretary by similar unanimous voice votes. “I’d nominate Nikki Umowski for chair,” a committee member said during the nominations; the board then moved to close the ballot and voted in favor. The board subsequently approved the meeting agenda and the minutes for December 3 before moving to the first substantive case.
