The commission discussed a proposed Londonderry Lookbook intended as a visual design guide for future applicants. Kirsten (interim planner) recommended publishing the lookbook as a web page rather than a printed book so it can be updated, include searchable imagery, and meet accessibility standards. "I really, strongly suggest you putting this as, just as a page on the website," she said.
Members agreed on a phased approach: set guiding principles at the September meeting, then develop component pages (building types, materials, landscaping, signage) with imagery and brief descriptive text so pictures carry the guidance. The planner noted the town's site-plan regulations (section 3.12) already cover many design topics and proposed integrating the Lookbook into the online permitting workflow so applicants must acknowledge they have reviewed it.
