Stacey Austin, identified in the record as the Recovery Coach Coordinator for Somerset County with KBH, described KBH’s recently opened recovery center at 34 High Street in Skowhegan and said 75 individuals were served there in May, most receiving some level of treatment. Finance Director Patrick Dolan told commissioners the county’s opioid settlement funds are primarily used for medically assisted treatment but that sufficient funds remain to consider KBH’s request. Commissioner John Alsop moved the award; Commissioner Scott Seekins seconded the motion, which carried 4-0.
