Policy Team reviews groundwater scoping plan; MDH $50,000 grant discussed to start phased work

Camilla Correll and Stu Grubb summarized the finalized Groundwater Scoping document and said the plan will be reconfigured to show a phased, multi-year approach as funding is obtained. Correll told the Policy Team she will reconfigure the budget and language to reflect phased work over several years.
Abby Shea of the Minnesota Department of Health said the MDH Accelerated Implementation Grant could provide $50,000 to get initial work started; alternatively, the team could budget a similar amount into the 2027 Water Plan. The Policy Team discussed budget phasing and asked for updates as funding options are refined.
