Carver County Republican chair urges transparency on voter-roll maintenance

During the public-comment portion of the May 19 meeting, Patricia Williamson identified herself as Carver County Republican chair and urged the board to pursue a resolution affirming commitment to maximize citizen participation in elections and transparency around voter-roll maintenance.
"At last election, in 2024, over 0.5 of the county voted in favor of President Trump," Williamson said, and asked to see the county’s processes for removing voters who have died or moved, and for information about the use of Republican election judges during early in-person voting at the government center in 2024. She said that, to her knowledge, no Republican election judges were used at that early voting location despite a sizable pool of available judges.
Chair and staff thanked Williamson for her comments and noted the board would take the request under advisement; no immediate action or resolution was introduced during the meeting. The matter was raised during the public comment period and not debated by the board at length.
