Cass County approves consent agenda including warrants, licenses and gambling permits

The Cass County Board on Jan. 6 approved a broad consent agenda that included auditor warrants, personnel actions, licensing renewals and several grant- and donation-related items.
Administrator Josh Stevenson presented the consent agenda and asked the Board to waive reading and approve it as presented; the Board approved the consent agenda unanimously. The consent items listed included Auditor Warrants dated Dec. 11, 2025 ($728,110.74), Dec. 18, 2025 ($236,018.11), Dec. 26, 2025 ($587,888.31) and other batches and manual warrants; several HHVS warrants were also approved. The board also accepted notices of retirements and appointments and approved licenses for tobacco, 3.2 beer, liquor and gambling.
Commissioner Rick Haaland offered Resolution No. 04-26 to approve gambling permits (LG214/LG215) for the Pine River Firefighters Relief Association and exempt permits (LG220) for Northern Cass Ducks Unlimited and Lakes Area Shooting Sports; the resolution was adopted unanimously. The Board also approved ARPA and opioid settlement allocations, and accepted donations to veterans services and home-visiting programs.
