The Woodward County Board of County Commissioners voted June 8 to accept the sole chip-and-seal bid from B&H Paving at $5,750.00 per mile and to approve B&H Paving's fog-sealing bid at $2,575.00 per mile. The motions were offered by Thorn and seconded by Vice-Chairman T. White; the minutes record the vote as 'all ayes.'
The board also awarded hauling contracts for county road material. For limestone chips, the low bid accepted was Pfeifer Trucking at $0.1999 per ton-mile; for gyp rock the board accepted a low bid from Dustin Donley Construction. Two vendors had submitted emulsion bids (Coastal Energy and Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions Inc.), but the board voted to table the emulsion bid for further consideration. The decisions were presented as part of routine procurement actions and carried on motions seconded and approved unanimously.
