Carver County names Uterman as alternate to Hennepin‑Carver Workforce Development Board

The Carver County Board on March 17 appointed Commissioner Uterman as the alternate representative to the Hennepin‑Carver Workforce Development Board.

The motion to name Uterman as the alternate was moved by Anderson and seconded by Ullerman; a roll‑call vote followed and the motion passed. Board members discussed scheduling conflicts for the host board (third‑week meeting times) and the difficulty of commissioners attending some in‑person meetings, and staff agreed to pursue bylaw or schedule changes with the partner board if possible.

Chair and staff noted that staff typically attend the workforce meetings when a commissioner cannot be present but acknowledged that a commissioner liaison is a different public‑facing role.
