At the July 28 meeting the council approved the consent agenda (resolutions 26-164 through 26-169) and adopted ordinance 26-11 (amending Chapter 280—vehicles and traffic, schedule 13: parking prohibited at all times) on final reading. The clerk confirmed the ordinance had been published and posted and that the council would publish a notice in the Bergen County Record on Aug. 4, 2026.
Council members discussed procurement language and a rebidding strategy for a procurement that did not yield the desired result; staff explained the town will rebid through an appropriate public procurement process. Audit and finance reports presented earlier characterized the borough's financial position as strong, and the council approved a corrective-action resolution responding to a single encumbrance exception raised by auditors.
The council then moved to adjourn.
