On motion of Supervisor Alfred G. Futrell, seconded by Supervisor Rufus E. Tyler, Sr., the Personnel Committee voted to enter Closed Session to discuss prospective candidates for employment, assignment, appointment, promotion, or performance pursuant to Virginia Code Section 2.2-3711(A)1; the closed-session topics also included personnel, building and grounds, and animal services. The motion carried with Supervisors Baicy, Futrell and Tyler voting aye.
After the closed session, on motion of Supervisor Futrell, seconded by Chair Thomas W. Baicy, III, the committee reconvened in Open Session and unanimously approved a certification resolution required by Section 2.2-3712 of the Code of Virginia, certifying that only matters lawfully exempted were discussed and that the meeting complied with the law.
