Gabrielle Coller of the planning department said the draft now reads that the commission “may elect from its members individual officer positions deemed necessary to conduct business and may reschedule a full election at such time that those vacancies are filled.”
Staff said the changes reflect public input and legal review by the city attorney; staff indicated intent to forward the revised rules to the May hearing for formal consideration. A public commenter spoke in support of the updated rules during the workshop.
