Bids were opened for paving a portion of the road shoulder near Lexington Cemetery to address rutting caused by visitors parking on the shoulder where there is no cemetery access. Fine Line Paving submitted the low bid at $24,490; JR Nuns & Sons (Lexington) bid $30,500. The motion to award the contract to Fine Line Paving (Resolution 25-116) was moved by Commissioner Cyp Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Joel Stetkis and passed 4-0.
The award completes the bid process for that portion of County roadway in the Unorganized Territory and funds will be drawn consistent with previously approved budgets for UT projects.
