Amanda Bishop said the committee should make clear where families find early‑intervention services after noting that Part C services in Hanover are provided by the school division, not directly by the CSB. Committee members raised a concern that families who move into Hanover might not realize that Hanover County Public Schools (HCPS) administer Part C services locally and could miss needed supports.
Ivy Sager, a staff member, said she would ask Developmental Disabilities (DD) staff to assemble additional details about transition services and provide the information to the committee when it is complete. The committee directed staff to add explanatory language and links on the CSB webpages about Part B and Part C service availability and to request HCPS add reciprocal links pointing back to CSB resources. Members also discussed outreach to families who are homeschooled and how to ensure those households can access transition information.
