The Greene County Board of Supervisors adopted the VDOT secondary six‑year plan for fiscal years 2027–2032 as presented and instructed staff to accept VDOT's forthcoming study on Turkey Ridge so the project can be considered for addition to the plan mid‑year or during the next update.
Jim Friedel (speaker 6) summarized the recommendation that the plan be approved as submitted and explained VDOT will complete a study to determine whether Turkey Ridge or portions of it qualify for inclusion. Friedel said funding for projects like Turkey Ridge likely would not be available until 2029 and that project priorities can be changed later if necessary. The motion to approve the plan carried on a roll‑call vote with ayes from the board.
