Acting Zoning Administrator Cassie Richards and Zoning Administrator Tracy Clatterbuck presented proposed amendments to Chapter 80 (Nuisances) of the Page County Code on Jan. 20, 2026. The presentation focused on aligning penalty language and enforcement options; staff recommended keeping junk vehicle provisions in the zoning ordinance to preserve both civil and criminal enforcement avenues.
Supervisor Ryan Cubbage asked County Attorney Caleb Routhier to confirm the types and levels of penalties the Board may set under state law; Routhier said he would check and advise. The Board reached consensus to return the proposed amendments to the Planning Commission for additional review before returning them to the Board.
