County housing study underway with realtors, builders, schools and banks participating

Lemuel Hancock briefed the committee that the county’s housing study is underway and that staff are engaging a cross-section of stakeholders, including realtors, builders, Shenandoah County Public Schools representatives, public services, developers and banks to inform the study’s findings.
No timetable for release of the study’s final report was provided at the Sept. 24 meeting; Hancock indicated the ongoing stakeholder engagement is intended to shape recommendations for local housing policy and programs.
