Chairman Vito Gentile called the Shenandoah County Citizens Advisory Committee to order at 5:00 p.m. and introduced Jack Hurst as the new Planning Office staff member who replaces Tyler Hinkle. Gentile also announced that Tim Stephens has resigned from the CAC and said he is talking with supervisors to bring the committee back to full membership.
Members discussed the committee’s oversight role and agreed that county staff (Lemuel Hancock and Jack Hurst) will include links to Board of Supervisors minutes in meeting scheduling emails so CAC members can flag actions that may not comply with the county’s Comprehensive Plan. The committee did not take formal action at the meeting beyond the staffing announcements; the next meeting is set for Nov. 19.
