Clerk and Recorder outlines election prep and staffing; commissioners urge volunteer engagement

She also said her office is extremely short-staffed and is hiring; because of short staffing the recording department closes for lunch from noon to 1 p.m. She thanked staff for working through software- and distribution-related issues that affected early processing of taxes and ballots.
