Local candidate recounts wildfire relief trip and urges community support as county aids evacuees

"Got reports yesterday that there's now over 1,300 large animals at the fairgrounds," Anderson said, describing supply runs to Westcliff, Penrose, Canyon City and the primary fairgrounds receiving animals and donations. He described seeing flames near Pueblo and said he and other volunteers delivered multiple truckloads of hay and supplies.
Anderson also referenced broader civic activity, noting the right-to-hunt initiative had turned in approximately 180,000 signatures statewide and thanking Teller County residents for their donations and volunteer labor. Commissioners acknowledged the work and thanked Anderson and others for leading relief efforts.
