Teller County commissioners ratified multiple change orders June 9 for the new central service center. County staff told the board that change order 13, valued at about $974,025.33, covers excavation and backfill, waterproofing, foundation work and slab-on-grade costs. A smaller change order 12 for $11,838.17 covered utility locating and related adjustments.
Administrator Herzog summarized the main cost elements, including roughly $302,405 for foundation work and about $272,938 for slab-on-grade, and said the county coordinated the changes with the on-site engineer and the contractor. Commissioners voted to ratify the change orders by roll call. Officials said a major building contract is expected in the coming weeks and that staff will continue to brief the board as work progresses.
