Brian Kuney, representing the South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP), presented an overview of Lean Six Sigma principles and how they can help manufacturers and local governments reduce process waste and improve efficiency.
Kuney, who said he has 26 years in automotive manufacturing, described application areas and noted challenges such as ensuring reduced steps do not reintroduce eliminated processes and overcoming communication lags like delayed email confirmations. Council members asked questions and thanked Kuney for the information.
