Board solicits feedback on FSMB draft report; members encouraged to attend FSMB annual meeting in Baltimore

The Board invited members to comment by Jan. 16 on a Federation of State Medical Boards draft report about legislative approaches to unmatched medical graduates and encouraged attendance at the FSMB annual meeting (April 30–May 2, 2026).
Carla Perlotto asked Board members to review and, if desired, provide comments on a Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB) draft report summarizing how states are handling requests from unmatched medical graduates (sometimes called assistant physicians). Members were told the draft is about nine pages and feedback is due by January 16.
Dr. Perlotto also encouraged Board members and staff to attend the FSMB annual meeting in Baltimore (April 30–May 2, 2026) and asked interested members to notify Executive Director Frank DiMaggio by February to arrange attendance.
