Clermont County proclaims March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

The Clermont County Board of Commissioners presented a proclamation on Feb. 12 designating March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and recognized local participants.
President David L. Painter presented the proclamation to Austin Porter and Dan Ottke. Mr. Porter said he has cerebral palsy and described his involvement with the Clermont Aktion Club (where he formerly served as president) and training for Special Olympics powerlifting. Dan Ottke, identified as the Clermont Developmental Disabilities Superintendent, thanked the Board for recognition and described upcoming Aktion Club projects; he also thanked Lisa Davis, the Developmental Disabilities Community Relations Director, for her work.
