FPDR director to retire Oct. 30; replacement posting and trustee vacancy scheduled this fall

FPDR leadership announced the director will retire on Oct. 30 after 13 years with the bureau. The director said the assistant city administrator Tracy Warren will lead the recruitment; the position is expected to be posted at the end of August with a 30-day application window, interviews in the first week of October and a recommendation to the city administrator by mid-October ahead of council committee and council review in November–December.
Staff also told trustees they will post the citizen trustee seat that expires Dec. 31, 2026. The board discussed past council questioning at a reappointment hearing and one trustee called that earlier questioning "appalling," urging the posting and pre‑briefings to avoid similar escalations during the process.
