The Clermont County Board of Commissioners removed the previously tabled Volunteer Policy for the Clermont County Dog Kennel from the table and then voted to table it again for two additional weeks to allow staff to revise the policy and provide the Board with the proposed changes in advance.
County Administrator Thomas J. Eigel requested the item be removed from the table; following staff comment, Deputy Assistant County Administrator Angie Livesay asked for the policy to be tabled for two more weeks. Livesay also confirmed administrative timelines for the kennel procurement: proposals for kennel management are due Jan. 30, 2025 and the contract is set to start Feb. 17, 2025.
Livesay provided operational context: "There are currently around 32 dogs on site and 45 in foster homes." She also supplied a contact for proposals: "The proposals for the Kennel Management can be requested by email at anlivesay@clermontcountyohio.gov." The Board did not adopt the volunteer policy at this meeting; the item was tabled for the Regular Session on Jan. 29, 2025.
