Board approves health and human services contracts including substance-use and mental-health providers

Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, who has overseen many health initiatives, noted pride in the Board’s work advancing the MAC Center and additional housing at the Lakeland complex as among accomplishments linked to county health and social services efforts. The contracts delegate service delivery to community providers and specify funding availability tied to upcoming budget approvals.
