The Clermont County Board of Commissioners authorized Pam Haverkos, Director of the Clermont County Emergency Management Agency, to submit a 2025–2026 grant application to the Ohio State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) for Chemical Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know funds.
The application requests $43,935 to support development, training, exercises and the administration of the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). According to the motion passed by the Board, no local match is required and the funds would support implementation and administration of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act for the period 07/01/2025 through 06/30/2026.
Haverkos presented the request as part of routine consent agenda items; the Board approved the grant application authorization without additional conditions recorded in the meeting. Any award and program implementation would be subject to SERC approval and normal grant administrative requirements.
