The Commissioners approved a staff recommendation to offer the 12‑acre industrial warehouse at 15024 W Hwy 66 in Yukon for sale by public auction with the minimum bid set at the three‑appraiser consensus value of $2,690,000. Director J. Alva Brockus said the property was acquired in 2017, produced roughly $1.2 million in revenue to date, and had been vacant for about six months.
Assistant Secretary John Fischer told the Commission the property has been leased previously and had been yielding about a 7% return; staff described recent nearby construction as a factor influencing a decision to divest. The motion to approve the appraised value and authorize offering the parcel by auction passed unanimously.
