The Peaslee Building Committee heard an update that the project team will present its options to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) facilities assessment subcommittee the day after the July 28 meeting and that the MSBA board consideration is scheduled for Aug. 26.
"So, the update is short. It's basically tomorrow," said Karina, the owner's project manager for PMA, describing the schedule for the FAS presentation. Karina told the committee the project received PSR (Project Scope and Review) comments on July 21 and that responses must be submitted to the MSBA by Aug. 4.
Karina said many PSR comments focused on additional site-plan information requested of the design team and that some comments on the education plan were "more just for record." She also said the team received one question about the budget and that schedule updates will add survey dates later in the year.
The committee briefly discussed who should attend the MSBA board meeting; Karina recommended a small delegation to attend, naming Greg, Stephanie Bacon and Stephanie Rainhorn as suitable representatives. The chair thanked PMA and Flansburg for preparing materials ahead of the tight submission schedule.
The committee did not take an action on the PSR in this meeting; staff said they would circulate finalized responses to the MSBA and provide the certified minutes requested for the PSR packet.
