He also said the project would install a new generator with a belly tank to fuel department vehicles and would replace deteriorated utility lines to a nearby pavilion. On phasing, Dusalt said they hoped to go to bid in October with construction beginning in the spring.
Board members pressed for more detail on several items before any recommendation: a full photometric analysis to show no light spill onto Warner Road properties, confirmation of exact disturbance acreage (noted in the presentation as "about 0.1 or 0.8 acres"), whether removed sheds required variances, snow-storage plans, and final crosswalk treatment in coordination with the DOT. The board also discussed the purpose of the decontamination room, which Dusalt described as segregated showers and washers to reduce environmental and personnel risk from contaminated gear.
The board recommended a site visit and asked the applicant to return with updated drawings, fixture catalog models for lighting, and a point‑by‑point lighting analysis for neighbors' review.
