Committee presses for universal helmet rule and 15 mph limit on paths in ebike draft

On speed, Holmes said e‑scooters are limited to 15 mph under state law and that the town bike path already posts a 15 mph limit; the subcommittee recommended limiting ebikes to 15 mph on bike paths and multiuse trails if those devices are allowed there. The committee discussed whether road speed limits (where state law allows ebikes up to 20 mph) should differ from trail limits.
