Veronica Black, CEO of E 50 Solutions, explained how financial stress can feed into depression, anxiety and risky behavior and said financial education is a practical prevention tool. “I would say know your numbers, be educated about what you bring in and what you, expense out, and live within your means,” Black said.
Black described her firm’s work evaluating nonprofit impact and helping organizations translate grant funding into measurable outcomes. She said financial-literacy workshops can reduce stress and improve long-term well-being for youth transitioning into jobs and independent life, and encouraged parents to teach budgeting and saving as protective measures.
